The definition of raw is not set by a regulatory or government agency, but raw foods are considered to be those which have been minimally processed, with reduced application of heat in order to preserve living elements in the superfoods. In addition to being deliciously simple and natural, raw foods can be a great addition to any diet. Gluten is a composite mixture of proteins (gliadin and glutein) found in some cereal grains including wheat, barley, rye and oats.

People with sensitivity or a gluten allergy can experience adverse gastrointestinal symptoms when gluten containing products are consumed.

Genetic modifications involve the technique in which the genetic material has been changed in a way that does not occur naturally by multiplication and/or natural recombination. Examples of these modifications include but are not limited to:

• Techniques involving  the direct introduction into the organism of materials prepared outside  the organism including micro-injection and micro-encapsulation.
